Director Profile

My name is Marlene Spearman.  I am happily married and am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of two wonderful boys. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood. I have Associates in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Life Studies with a concentration of Early Childhood Studies. There is nothing more I’d rather do than teach children.  I love to see the light in a child’s eyes when they discover something new or master a new skill.  I am a people person and enjoy talking with parents about concerns they might have or just sharing a funny moment from the day. I will try to keep flexible and listen to the needs of the parents. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your child.

When our program is full we will hire two teachers and two Aides. We have been blessed with a pediatric nurse who will be working as a teacher in the program.   I will also teach along with the administration. We will also have volunteers who will be carefully screened and chosen to enrich the lives of the students. A Physical therapist will regularly visit our program and work with the children and staff.  All staff will be qualified above and beyond minimum standards and will keep current in their philosophy and practice of early Childhood Education.  We are all trained in First Aid and CPR and keep our certification current. Communication will be key to a healthy center and our staff will meet on a regular basis to discuss how we can better meet the needs of the children. You will find our friendly staff more than willing to communicate with you daily on the successes and concerns of your children.
